It’s funny how quickly a class settles in.  It is strange to believe that it is only the second day of school.  It feels like we’ve been together much longer.  Minus a few mishaps with names that are similar or with students with siblings, I think I’ve got everyone’s name down.  Yipee!

Today we spent more time getting to know one another and establishing the routines. The students made hot air balloons showing their interests and creativity!  They also took a reading comprehension assessment today and went to P.E.

Yesterday, we drew self-portraits.  Here’s a cool one by Nolan!  I love his big smile in the picture!

All in all, it was a fun filled day!

It was a great day.  I hope to have all the names down by tomorrow.  Today was spent reviewing procedures, expectations, and getting to know one another.  The class also took a math assessment.

This week’s homework is due on Friday.  Each student is to bring in an “Artifact Bag”.  A bag of 4-6 items that represent who they are.  On Friday, each student will share their bag.
